Clothes are various equippable items that can be collected throughout Shining Nikki. Coordinating different outfits can grant the wearer Styling Power.
Every single clothing item has different stats for the five main attributes and will focus on one attribute, giving it higher stats than the rest. Stylists must collect clothes to enhance their Styling Power.[1]
The player's personal collected clothing pieces can be found in the Index under the Clothes tab.

Four Special items are shown here: Pink Heart Glasses, Vintage Camera, Code 219, and Leg Holster.

Nikki may only equip one item of each category, with the exception of the Special category which allows Nikki to don multiple items if they don't overlap.
Clothing Sets[]
Many clothes can be gathered together to complete a set, although not all clothing pieces are part of one.
There are both official and unofficial sets. The former are recognized by the game, while the latter items are paired up together but are not deemed part of the same set despite their similarities and proximity.
Most clothing pieces within the same set will share the same rank and designer. All pieces within the set will also share focus on one of the five attributes. For example, Nikki has designed all of the items within the Bloom Poetry set, each of which are 
SR rank and have 
Elegant as their highest attribute.
There are some exceptions to this rule. The unofficial Peach Gravity set contains items created by different designers, with Leaves and Letters being designed by Loen and Sweet Florescence being designed by Lolory. Despite this, they share the same focus on the 
Sweet attribute and the same SR rank.
Designers[]
When a new design is created, the designer's consciousness will blend into it.[2] Every in-game clothing item has a designer, many of whom can be met within the story.
Designers may often create clothes / sets focusing on one or two attributes. For example, Nikki often creates clothing and clothing sets that fall under the Sweet or the 
Fresh categories. Designers may also have a particular style or theme to their clothes.
Some clothes may occasionally contain two designers. Light Snow was designed by both Sue and Will, while Tasseled Boots was designed by both Jiang Beixi and Vivian.
