Nail Studio

The Nail Studio is a feature available from the Design Center in Shining Nikki. At the player's previous suggestion, Nikki has opened up a Nail Salon which can be accessed within the Nail Studio feature. The Nail Studio allows players to manage their own Nail Salon, research Nail Art, DIY Nail Art Designs, and buy new Nail Art items. Completing these activities can potentially garner the player rewards or even increase Nikki's Styling Power.

First Visit[]

Upon the player's first visit, they will receive a number of rewards. This includes:

Name[]

The player may name the Nail Salon. Names can only include up to 14 characters. This name will be featured on Moments as the username for the official Nail Salon Moments account. This account cannot be controlled by the player.

Prior to being named, the Nail Salon will be aptly named "Nail Salon".

Nail Art Research[]

Nail Art Research allows the player to study new Nail Arts. There are several different Nail Art sets available for research.

Each Nail Art set includes a name for the set, a rarity rank ( SR, SSR, or UR), a focus on one attribute, and two tags. Every single Nail Art set except for Sweet Madras will include an unlock requirement.

Selecting an unlocked Nail Art set will display all the relevant information of that Nail Art set. The screen will show all the different components of the Nail art set. Tapping one will allow the player to see its details. Researching that selected component will increase the player's stats in all five attributes, possibly by different amounts. Researching that item will count towards completing that particular set.

Some Nail Art components can be researched for free, while others may require items such as and .

Upgrading the Nail Salon will unlock more Nail Art sets to research.

The Nail Art Research feature may designate one Nail Art set as "Recommended" for the player to study. That set will appear at the top left part of the set list with the "Recommended" tag across its image.

The Procure feature is located in the Nail Studio computer, where the player may visit Helz's Online Nail Shop to buy everything related to Nail Art, including designs and materials.

Helz's Special Pack can be obtained for free every 48 hours. It contains 1 Star Ticket.

Helz's Choice[]

Helz's Choice offers a chance to obtain Nail Art products sponsored by Helz's Nail Shop. Helz's Choice utilizes Star Tickets as a currency.

New Products[]

New Products offers a chance to obtain limited time Nail Art products. New Products utilizes Star Tickets as a currency.

Drop Rates[]

The Procure button in Helz's Choice can be used to obtain Nail Art set pieces. Procuring ten pieces at a time will guarantee that Helz's Choices drops a UR Nail Art set piece.

Duplicating Nail Art set pieces will be automatically converted into Nail Art. M. Packs of the corresponding Nail Art set.

DIY[]

In the DIY feature, players can freely design and edit their own Nail Art sets. There are 6 slots available for custom nails and each one can be personally named.

Each individual nail can be personally designed. Selecting a finger will enter single-finger edit mode. The nail design on one finger can be copied to all fingers.

Players may use any Nail Art pieces that they have collected and design to their hearts' content, with no budget limit or heart ratings included. All nail designs will automatically use the first Custom Outfit set in the Dressing Room feature as a model. Once a nail design is completed, it can be applied to other outfits.

Similar to official Nail Art sets, custom sets will have their own stats for Styling Power. However, they cannot be viewed in the DIY feature.

Camera[]

The camera feature allows players to take different pictures of their nails.

Cover Photo[]

Once a design is completed, players can take a cover photo of their nails. The cover photo will be displayed when selecting the custom nail design.

The cover photo may be edited in a camera mode with features similar to the other camera mode in DIY as well as the camera mode in the Dressing Room. This includes setting different poses, stickers, backgrounds, etc.

Cover photos can be edited after saving a photo of the nail design.

Nail Salon[]

The Nail Salon button can be found at the bottom left corner of the Nail Studio screen. Clicking it will bring the player to the Nail Salon's reception area. Here the player can manage their own Nail Salon and design Nail Art for customers to earn , , and Gold.

The Nail Salon is closed between 4 and 5 o'clock. During this time, no customers can be served and Momo's Beckoning cannot be used.

Serving Customers[]

Upon entering the Nail Salon, a sign will appear onscreen with an overview of the previous day's revenue: Total obtained, Total obtained, Customers Served, and Average customer rating. The next sign states "A new day has begun. Ready to serve the customers?" Beneath that text will be two buttons: the Hire Staff button and the Serve Customers button.

Upon selecting the Serve Customers button, the salon will be opened to customers. Customers will arrive at the store one by one requesting different nail designs. The player can choose to serve them now or later. Five customers will arrive every day.

The player must fulfill customers' requests for nail designs by fitting whatever criteria given, including Nail Art Styles (tags). The customer will judge the player on how well they fit said criteria by rating them from 1 to 5 hearts.

Each customer has their own budget, which is the amount of Gold they can spend on the nail design. Each piece of the nail design will cost a specific amount of Gold and will add to their budget. Customers will pay for the nail design according to their budget. Exceeding the customers budget will deduct hearts from the overall score and the customer will not pay any amount exceeding their budget.

After being properly served, customers will pay for the design with and based upon the rating with a chance to receive .

Customers that haven't been served will leave the Nail Salon at 5 o'clock.

Special Customers[]

Special Customers (also known as VIP Customers) can be unlocked at Salon Lv.4. These customers may visit on occasion alongside regular customers with more complex orders. Satisfying their demands will grant exclusive rewards from that Special Customer. Special Customers will not grant any hearts.

Selecting the Special Customers button will display a phone onscreen and its Contacts app, where past Special Customers will be listed. From here, the player can check the Special Customers' details and potentially phone them up to redesign their nails.

Most Special Customers are characters seen throughout the game, including Lolory and Charmonroe.

Hire Staff[]

The hire staff option is unlocked when the Nail Salon reaches level 9. Hiring staff allows a NPC character to automatically help the Nail Salon in serving ordinary customers.

Cashier[]

The bottom right corner of the Nail Salon screen will display the cashier icon. The cashier accumulates every minute. Clicking the "Claim" button on the cashier will collect the stored up. The cashier can collect up to 44000 . This limit can be increased.

The cashier also displays the total amount of that have been accumulated today.

On the Nail Studio main screen, the Nail Salon button will display how many have been accumulated underneath its button.

Momo's Beckoning[]

The Momo's Beckoning button will summon a new customer and satisfy their demand immediately with a 5-heart rating.

To receive Momo's Beckoning, the player must pay 20 to buy Momo BBQ. Momo's Beckoning is limited to twice per day.

Momo's Beckoning does not count towards the number of customers served that day.

Weekly Rating Pack[]

After serving an ordinary customer, players will be rated with hearts based upon the quality of their service. The Weekly Rating Pack will offer rewards based upon how many hearts the player has collected each week.

120 hearts are required to receive all rewards from that week.

Nail Salon Level[]

Managing the Nail Salon and performing other activities will eventually allow the player to level up the Nail Salon. Upgrading the Salon will increase its per minute, Wish Coin Rewards, the Budgets of customers, unlock new Nail Art sets to research, and will also grant one-time upgrade rewards.

Currently, the Nail Salon's maximum level is LV. 65.
