Shawn can be quite rude and crass, with very little respect shown to Nikki and her friends. He is not above manipulating others to get what he wants, although his misdeeds are usually petty (such as convincing Nikki to trade Momo for exclusive intel).

Shawn is currently dating Cici. They attend the same university and first met when Cici approached Shawn after classes on a rainy day. Shawn was waiting for his butler and noticed Cici didn't have an umbrella, but because she was on her bike, she couldn't hold it. Shawn then proposed the idea of him sitting on the back of the bike while holding the umbrella, and she dropped him off as a thanks.
Shawn instantly fell for Cici, who was the only one to approach him while everyone else was avoiding him because of false rumours about him spread by the media. Although Shawn initially thought it was unrequited, it turned out that Cici liked him back and they then started dating.
