The player lacks close relationships with most characters in Miraland due to their presence only being noticed by Nikki and Momo for most of their journey. However, the player retains limited interactions with other characters in special situations, such as on the in-game social media website Moments and in certain memories of Designer's Reflections.
Through these methods, the player may chat up characters in-game, although they cannot raise any particular relationship values with these characters or build serious bonds, unlike with Nikki.
Nikki[]
The player is one of Nikki's closest companions. Nikki confesses her greatest fears and insecurities to them, and the player is sometimes given the option to encourage her, admit some flaws or other personal details of their own, or even tease her on occasion. Nikki does not enjoy any teasing from the player and will often react poorly to such actions. She appreciates whenever the player supports her through her journey, considering their help incredibly valuable.
In return for their assistance, Nikki shares her life with the player and often invites them out, stating several times that she enjoys hanging out with them. However, more often than not the player cannot take her up on her offer during gameplay, although they can be seen traveling with her during events such as the Seaside Holiday event.
Nikki very much appreciates the player's advice on what choices she should make, what she should wear, and what they think of her. Whenever the player is given the option to input their own opinions, Nikki will often take them into account and may even change her actions to reflect their advice.
There is a distance between Nikki and the player that cannot be breached, due to the latter not being able to be properly noticed by most other people in Nikki's life, with the exception of methods of communication such as Moments posts. Nikki expresses regret in the Seaside Holiday event over the fact that the player is not properly in "her" world, despite their ability to physically affect things and their ability to communicate to her and few others. She notes that the player's actions are thus limited due to their presence being somewhat tied to her, preventing them from properly exploring Miraland on their own.
But because of their constant presence and support, the player serves as one of Nikki's current and most closest companions in Miraland. Nikki may occasionally note that she could not do this journey without them and Momo. The two are close regardless of the player's Bond level.
Momo[]
Momo is one of the few other characters that knows of the player's presence.
Lilith[]
Lilith once visited the player's home and pressured them into baking donuts with her.[1]
Yexiao[]
In Stage 7-5β, Yexiao finally meets the Player. She says that she noticed another power within Nikki in Cloudcrest.
